I have been a GP for 16 years working in NHS, private and academic sectors. More recently I have expanded my skills to teach mindfulness. I specialise in a form of contemporary mindfulness known as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), which is clinically acclaimed. I completed a Masters in MBCT at the University of Oxford in 2018. My work centres around teaching mindfulness skills to healthcare professionals and corporate clients, to help people manage the stresses of work and to live more fully.
Organisations with healthy and happy staff enjoy high levels of staff morale and productivity and, ultimately, enjoy healthy long-term profitability.
*There is an early bird 10% discount on the next Mindfulness for doctors & dentists 8 week course (starts February 2021) if you book before 15th November 2020*
What are the benefits?
The skill of mindfulness can help us deal with the stresses and strains of daily living, by deliberately paying attention to what happens in the mind and body, to become more familiar with the workings of our own mind patters and habits. This helps plan for how best to respond rather than react in our old familial, often unhelpful ways.
I meet the UK good practice guidelines for Mindfulness-Based Teachers; I am suitably trained, committed to continuous personal and professional development, hold appropriate insurance and engage in regular supervision for my teaching through the Mindfulness Network.
